Plight of the Wild Horses

Besides the fact that Carol Walker is an amazing photographer, I read each and every post of hers with rapt attention, and sinking heart.

Please Please drop by her blog Wild Hoofbeats, for the latest news of the BLM roundup. Please voice your opinion in the link provided in her post. (or just click there, but I'd really like you to read more about it first). It's heartbreaking to hear how the wild horse families are being decimated.

One of our horses is a mustang, and I would never separate her from her herd of one - they are bonded as two horses could be.

Thank you Carol for being a vigilant ally to the wild horses of America.

To every season....

My oldest son is graduating from high school tomorrow. How can that be?

I am so very proud of him. Brilliant, beautiful and loving. Not that I'm biased or anything.

Congratulations to Noah!

Goaties

Goaties are some of my favorite critters on the planet. My team blog has a great post on goats today, which reminded me that I wanted to share a video that I saw yesterday.

Have you heard about the 'fainting goats' ????

Twinkle's Journey

I have a wonderful customer at Woolies, who requested a very special friend for a newborn babe.
Ta Da! Meet Twinkle!

Twinkle is a knitted and felted horse. He has a rainbow mane and tail. AND he plays music. That's right, he is a music box - he plays Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

Twinkle shipped a long time ago - Priority mail, insured, with delivery confirmation. I wanted to share with you Twinkle's very interesting cross country trip.

Smart Bird

My husband is famous for not returning tools to where they belong. Just a couple days after he didn't put the ladder away, we have a friend there....and now the ladder has to stay where it is for weeks to come....

Gardening Success?

Yes, we have fruit. Don't hold your breath, because I've gotten this far before, only to have tomatoes rot on the vine. Stay tuned.

Who came to visit??

We had a pool problem. Those of you that wish you had a pool, nah - don't do it! Join a community pool instead! Our motor on the pump went. NOT cheap to buy a new one. So, while the pump was not on, the water got a bit low. Luckily, nothing turned green.
But somebody came to visit the pool while nobody was looking.

A King Snake. We like them, they eat rattlesnakes. We saved him; hope he is ok. When I went back to look under the bushes where we put him, safelty away from dogs etc, he was gone. I got to pet him.

:)
