eek.I am glad you mentioned the size. He just looks like a harmless little spider in the photos. I never considered the danger these creatures pose to pets until you mentioned your puppy. I can't imagine what a cat would do. I would hope that they have some sense.

I've heard they often come out en masse when it rains, I haven't seen it yet though. One is fun, maybe kinda cute, not sure about hundreds!

Yikes! That's freaky. We have Wolf spiders around here that can get pretty large...
