Organic Cotton

Did you hear about the CPSIA situation? No toys with lead (DUH!) are allowed to be sold. Testing was going to be required. Then there was a stay of execution. And natural materials are exempt.

HUGH SIGH OF RELIEF!

I've always used all natural materials in my Woolies. But now even more so - and luckily, the natural fibers are becoming more readily available (although still kinda pricey).

So, with a new design and organic cottons - check out Beatrice!

She's available in my Woolies shop. I hope she finds somebody to love her!

Natural Pod Toy Store

I love making animals and dolls, WAY more than my day-job (uh oh, don't tell anybody). I've been fortunate enough to discover some new outlets for wholesale-ing my Woolies.

Here's a new one I'd like to tell you about - it's called Natural Pod. I love their website, it is clean and simple and uncluttered.

They sell the kinds of toys and children's things that I love - wonderful for open-ended play and discovery.

I've made some teddies - just for them. And some horses too - cause who doesn't love horses???

Well, don't look at my crummy - too-dark pics - go visit Natural Pod!!!

Another fabric Woolies!

I did it again. Embroidering their faces is a challenge for me - and I don't want to use plastic safety eyes, trying to keep it "natural".

One thing I really really like about making these dolls is that it is less time consuming than knitting animals. I love to knit, it is a part of me forever, and I probably love the knitted animals better (she says in a whisper), but I love these too - and can make them in a few hours, rather than many hours.
Lulu is made from a pattern by bitofwhimsyprims on Etsy. Her name is also Sarah (with an H), thank you Sarah!

Here's Lulu - she's in my Woolies shop. Love any feedback, including constructive criticism....
