Can you see him? This picture was taken from my little office window, and the hawk - easily 2 feet tall, landed in a mesquite tree just outside. I love this about living in the southwest.

Those are the things I miss too.
Before we moved to Florida we lived on 10 acres in the middle of nowhere . Nature pur! I miss all the wildlife and the peacefullness! Seeing deer ,foxes and coyotes walking by the fence line, porcupine in trees and all the different birds and birds of pray! *sigh*
I think at some point we will have to live in the country again...
