5am, sound asleep, until a noise wakes me up. What was that? I start to doze off again....then hear it again. Thunder! The storm builds in intensity, obviously it is directly over our house. Constant giant claps of thunder, blinding lightning. Torrential rain.

It's all over in 15 minutes.

No going back to sleep now. Time to get up and start the day. I take the dogs outside. And am greeted by this.

My husband is famous for not returning tools to where they belong. Just a couple days after he didn't put the ladder away, we have a friend there....and now the ladder has to stay where it is for weeks to come....

Yes, it's still Summer

Ya gotta love the desert (NOT)..
Currently it is 100 degrees, feels like 103 due to humidity. It is thundering, and I've seen maybe 1-2 drops (SERIOUSLY, JUST DROPS) of rain.
But, when I went to check the forecast, I nearly fell over.
It SEEMS as if it may be under 90 degrees at some point this week!
