You can see awesome things in the desert, and my husband has an eagle eye for spotting some treasures.
It was dark, so couldn't get a good picture of this guy, so here's a pic borrowed from the internet - he's a good snake, he eats rattlesnakes. We like him!

Oh, it is lovely! We only have a couple of different snakes here in Norway. Not dangerous. And we have this cute slow-worm in our garden. It lives underneath the dianthus. My daughter has named it Lisa Marie...
What a beautiful snake! I thought it was a Coral at first and shuttered.....but a rattlesnake killer is good.

Snakes are everywhere! yeesh! I seen a small version of that on a trail and steered clear. Of course hubby wanted to investigate. There's an old rhyme about snakes like that and what colors touch what colors and that's they way you identify if they poisonous or not.
Red touch yellow, kill a fellow
Red touch black a friend of Jack.
That's actually a coral snake in the pic. The king has red lines touching black, and is often used in the movies to simulate the much more dangerous coral... just an FYI
You're right, powersweepstaking! I pulled the pic off the internet, and that is a coral snake. The one we saw was not, I'll have to look for a 'real' picture!
